Music Industry 2.0 | Where do you fit in?

With the end of the CD quickly approaching artists and record labels must evolve their businesses into a new form. Today’s music consumers are relying less on the CD and more on the Digital Distribution Services, such as iTunes and Amazon. As more companies are attempting to deploy there own form of digital distribution they have to recognize the one true benefit of the CD at this point, live retail sales. Music 2.0 begs to question, “How do I give my fans the convenience of digital downloads as well as the satisfaction of purchasing my album in retail stores or at live shows?”

Most people I know at this point who continue to by CDs immediately rip them to there iPods and Digital MP3 devices never using them again. There has to be a way for an artist to sell music at live shows and in retail shops without the hassle of CD’s. There is way, but read on…
